Refrigerant PT chart and lookup

Look up saturation pressure from temperature or temperature from pressure, with dew and bubble values for blends.

What this means

A pressure temperature chart links refrigerant pressure to its saturation temperature. Use the dew point for superheat and the bubble point for subcooling. A pipe temperature is not necessarily the saturation temperature, so measure pressure and line temperature separately. Values are reference approximations, not a substitute for the exact refrigerant manufacturer's chart.

Formula used

  • Linear interpolation: y = y1 + (x − x1) × (y2 − y1) ÷ (x2 − x1)
  • Temperature to pressure: x = °F, y = psig
  • Pressure to temperature: x = psig, y = °F
  • Chart temperature conversion: °C = (°F − 32) × 5 ÷ 9
